Info for Captains

BUCS Score Sheets

All captains should fill out a BUCS score sheet every week and get it signed by the opposing team, even for away matches.

It is important as the league can often be decided on points and it is good to have solid evidence.

You can find the BUCS score sheet here.

Rules and Regulations

Please become familiar with the general BUCS rules and also the squash specific BUCS rules. Here is a document highlighting the more relevant ones.

For the full outline of the BUCS rules and regulations please see the BUCS website:

Home Matches

For home matches, it is the responsibility of the captain to have match balls and score sheets for players to ref/mark the matches.

Score sheets should be filled in and signed by the captains of both teams. Scores must be submitted to Lynn within 24 hours.

Away Matches

The venue address for your away matches can be found on the BUCS website under the fixtures section for your team. See your team results page for a link.

The AU will sometimes organise transport to away matches. However, since our teams are small we usually organise our own transport if players have their own cars. Transport will be arranged by Lynn each week and will be emailed out. If you have any questions email Lynn.

Keep any taxi receipts, train tickets and make a note of any petrol used for away matches – these can all be claimed back through the AU finance office in Portland building. Please make sure it is charged as BUCS expenses and does not come out of our grant or personal account.

If travelling to an away match it is the captain’s responsibility to complete an offsite form. This should be completed with a list of the travelling players names and a phone number for their next of kin. These can be collected from the AU office and should be handed in before travel.

Score sheets should be filled in and signed by the captains of both teams. Scores must be submitted to Lynn within 24 hours.
